Pajama set two - through

I finished the second set of pjs. For this one I added a pre-made ruffle and I think it looks very nice. A little more "professional" than the hand-made ruffle in my opinion. Again, I think I like the second better that the first. But you can decide for yourself.

I'm thinking when I make something for myself I'll have to make 2, a practice one and then a real one. :)

Oh Christine! It's adorable! I do like the store bought lace ruffle. Not because the other looks "homemade", but because the lace has a more feminine look, I think. Did you get your labels yet?
Oh, making a practice version of an outfit is an established technique - it's called a "muslin" because they are traditionally made out of the cheapest fabric. Although some people make them out of mid-grade fabric and call them "wearable muslins" - nice enough to wear, but not out of the best fabric. We're planning to make muslins out of our drafted pants patterns to perfect the fit.
